• Vision

Recognizing the need to prepare students to become productive members of a democratic society, we envision that the Middletown City School District will:

• Raise achievement levels of all students
• Eliminate achievement gaps
• Earn a rating of "Excellent" on the school district's state report card

• Mission

The mission of the Middletown City Schools is to provide our culturally diverse students with highly-challenging and engaging school work, which assists them in gaining valued knowledge and skills. We will continue to operate the district in a fiscally responsible manner with a priority of student achievement.

• Values

We will be results oriented and data driven.
We will collaborate with one another and our students so that we can achieve our collective goals more effectively.
We will communicate to students that they are important and valued.
We will communicate to students why the work they do is important.
We will communicate to students that we will not let them fail.
We will define and model life long learning for our students and ourselves.
We will identify essential learning outcomes, assess student understanding and provide opportunities for students to demonstrate mastery.
We will demonstrate our commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
We will build effective relationships with students, parents and the community.
We will use all available resources to engage students in learning.
