The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling hosted their last match before winter break on Wednesday, when they faced off with the #1 team in the GMC and undefeated Colerain. But that didn't scare the Middies, as they led the match from start to finish to take down the Cardinals for the victory!

No doubt that this match was still close. After game #1, it was pretty much even with our boys ahead by only 2 pins. Their opponent bowled better in game 2, but so did we, and pushed the lead up to 40 pins!

High man for the match in his 2-game set was Junior Riley Pritchard, who started off with a very nice 197, and then scorched the lanes by firing off an awesome 232 for game 2! Great job! Sophomore Harlynn Davis was pretty consistent on the day after shooting a 187 & a 189! Way to go! The same goes for Freshman Ben Bales when he threw a 166 & 170! Junior Ethan Isaac also rolled 2 good games himself with scores of 169 & 158, and Senior Eddie Pritchard tossed in a 161 to help his team out!

The difference of 40 pins is still too close for comfort and can easily be made up in 1 Baker game if you're not careful, so the boys knew that they had to at least bowl as good if not better than the Cardinals if they wanted to go home with the win. And that they did! Every game was higher than their opponent, with games of 173, 173, 194, & 166, to take the "W" by just 78 pins! Great work team!

The Middies record improves to 3-2 overall, and 3-1 in the GMC! The team doesn't have another event until after the winter break, which will be January 4th at Rollhouse Lanes for the annual Back to School Bash tournament.
