The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team took down Hamilton yesterday to win their 2nd match of the season at Pohlman Lanes by just 80 pins!

The lanes were much tougher than expected during the first regular game, and due to too many missed spares, the boys were down 109 pins after game 1. But they quickly figured it out and came back in game 2 shooting 152 pins higher to cut the deficit way down!

The 2 top bowlers for the Middies were separated by just 1 pin. Sophomore Harlynn Davis was very consistent when he threw 2 great games of 192 & 194! Junior Riley Pritchard started his set with a good game of 171, and then came firing back to post an awesome score of 214 for game #2! Freshman Ben Bales found his groove in the second game by throwing a very nice 203! Junior Ethan Isaac rolled a 151 and Senior Eddie Pritchard had a 143 to help the team cut the lead down to only 47 pins going into the Baker round!

The team came out strong for the 1st Baker game with a 195, taking the lead over Big Blue by 10 pins! But then their opponent bested them the next game and we were down by 10 pins. With the help of Hamilton dropping a 117 for game #3, and the boys rolling a 175, they jumped into the lead again by 48 pins! They maintained their composure to post a 178 for the final game and took home the "W" by 80 pins! Another great comeback victory! Way to go team!

The Middies have a short break until they take on Harrison at home on Wednesday at Eastern Lanes. We're shooting for a 3:30 start time, so come on out and cheer the boys on!
