The Middletown Girls Varsity Bowling team took on the Harrison Wildcats for their match today at Eastern Lanes. They had the best total pinfall so far this season, but it wasn't enough to get the win.
High bowler for the team was Junior Emma Kruse when she threw a 127 for game #1, and then came firing back with a really nice game of 179! Sophomore Braelyn Bates rolled a good game of 130 to start her set, then followed it up with a 118! Sophomore Kaitlyn Kincer tossed a good game herself with a 111, while teammate and Freshmen Isabella Bryant-Thomas posted a 110!
Spare shooting is the key when it comes to increasing your score and keeping the match close. The girls were down by 178 after the regular games, but had 4 Baker games to go to try and make up the difference. Their set included scores of 84, 107, 120, & 98, which wasn't enough to make a comeback against their opponent.
The girls are 0-3 overall, and 0-2 in the GMC. The next match is scheduled for this Friday, when they take on Fairfield in another away at Rollhouse Lanes. We are set to get started at 4:00pm.
GO MIDDIES!
