The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team had a hard time keeping up with their GMC opponent, the Fairfield Indians, in their match at Rollhouse Lanes on Friday.
The team bowled fairly well for the 2 regular games, but they ran into a brick wall during game #1 when Fairfield came out firing with a team score of 1051 to our 841. The deficit was large and was about to get worse.
Leading the team again with 2 great games of 209 & 203 was Junior Riley Pritchard! Way to go! Sophomore Harlynn Davis may have started slow with a meager 159, but that didn't hold him back from scorching the lanes for game 2 with the incredible 245! Great job Harlynn! Junior Ethan Isaac was on fire when he started his set with a very nice 199. and then finished with a 165! Freshman Ben Bales came in for game #2 to bust out an awesome score of 195, and Senior Eddie Pritchard tried helping the team out with his 158!
Fairfield was not holding back for this match as they knocked down 412 more pins than their previous match just a few days ago. Unfortunately, it happened against the Middies. The boys knew they had a big mountain to climb to take the win, but they could only post Baker scores of 145, 138, 173, & 135.
The team will face Colerain on Wednesday at home for yet another GMC matchup. It will be their last match before the break. Start time is scheduled for 3:30pm. Come on out and cheer them on!
GO MIDDIES!
