The Middletown Girls Varsity Bowling took on the Colerain Cardinals at Eastern Lanes on Wednesday for their last match before the winter break. Unfortunately, things did not fall their way.

Spares are usually the key to winning a match, no matter who your opponent is, and Colerain showed that they knew how and walked away with the win.

High bowler for our Middies was Junior Emma Kruse throwing back-to-back games of 144 for her 2-game set! Sophomore Braelyn Bates shot a 115 & a 110! Senior Harley Bailey rolled a 114, while Sophomore Kaitlyn Kincer had a 103!

Being behind by 182 pins, the girls had a bill hill to climb if they were going to steal the win, but with having games of 88, 109, 104, & 106 in the Baker round, it was just not enough to pull it off, and lost to another tough GMC team.

The team falls to 0-5 overall, and 0-4 in the GMC. The Lady Middies don't have another event until after the winter break, which will be January 3rd at Rollhouse Lanes for the annual Back to School Bash tournament. We want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and have a very Merry Christmas! See you soon!
