The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team captured the Vikings and took the win by an incredible 404 pins in their away match yesterday at Gilmore Lanes in Fairfield!

High man for the day was Sophomore Harlynn Davis, who started off with a 151, but then came firing back in his 2nd game with an awesome 225! Way to go! Junior Riley Pritchard put together 2 good games himself with scores of 179 & 169! We had 2 bowlers that rolled the same total of 340 when Freshman Ben Bales cranked out a very nice game of 192 and finished with a 148, and Senior Eddie Pritchard with his 2 game set of 167 & 173! Sophomore Brent Shaw helped his team by throwing a 177 & a 148!

The boys started off very strong in their Baker round to extend their lead when they posted two great games of 210 & 200 for the first 2 games, then fell slightly with a 169 & 140, but were still able to walk away with another win! Great job team!

The Middies record improves to 5-2 overall, and increases to 4-1 in the GMC! The team will travel to Northwest Lanes on Sunday for their next tournament called the Lancer Baker Bash. They will bowl 16 straight Baker games, then the format cuts it to the top 16 teams that will go head-to-head bracket style elimination. Start time is set for 10:00am. If you can make it there, we would love to see you cheering for your Middies!
