The Middletown Girls Varsity Bowling team took on another good team from the GMC yesterday in their match at Eastern Lanes, but could not come out with a win against the Lakota East Thunderhawks.

The girls actually bowled good, but the regular games were just not high enough to cut into the lead held by their opponent before heading into the Baker round. Leading the Middies was Junior Emma Kruse, who shot a very good game of 150, then followed it up with a 114! Only 5 pins behind her teammate in total pinfall was Sophomore Braelyn Bates with 2 good games also of 131 & 128! Sophomore Kaitlyn Kincer was very consistent with the scores in her 2 game set of 127 & 123! Senior Harley Bailey rolled a 103 and a 108, while Freshman Allison Pritchard shot a 125.

The girls knew that cutting into a 139 pin deficit was going to be tough, but they gave it their best! They came out firing with a great first Baker game of 162! They then had another good game of 142, but fell down to a 116 for their final game. They managed to shave off 15 pins, but it just wasn't enough.

The Lady Middies record is now 0-8 overall, and at 0-6 in the GMC. They have another home match on Thursday, taking on another local team, the Franklin Wildcats. The match is scheduled to start at 3:30pm. We would love to see you there!
