The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team lost in a GMC match yesterday at home when they faced Lakota East at Eastern Lanes.

The boys did not perform well, but we will say that the lanes were NOT good to them either! They were given 22 splits in just the 2 regular games, with one of the splits seen 8 times! That is just unheard of, and we haven't experienced anything like that in a long time. The first game went fairly well. We did have a few low scores, but the team was only down by 44 pins after game #1, even with 10 splits. Then the wheels fell off.

Leading the boys with an awesome first game of 232 was Senior Eddie Pritchard, who then shot a 146 for game 2! Junior Ethan Isaac also started off with a great game of 180 and then threw a 160! Freshman Ben Bales was pretty consistent with his 2 games of 167 & 162!

The boys dropped to being behind by 176 pins, but their focus was to have a high Baker set to see if they could steal the win, but it just wasn't in the cards. They posted scores of 181, 144, 166, & 133.

The team's overall record drops to 5-3 overall, and 4-2 in the GMC. They will take on Summit Country Day for an away match on Friday at Madison Bowl. Start time is set for 4:00pm. Hope to see you there!
