The Middletown Girls Varsity Bowling team lost their match on Friday to a very good team at Madison Bowl in Cincinnati. For this match, the result was due to the number of bowlers being reversed from their previous match against Franklin. The Middies were short 1 bowler and had to take on their opponent with only 4 bowlers to their 5 bowlers. This made a big difference in the scoring, not taking anything away from a good opponent who is #1 in their conference with a 9-1 overall record.

High bowler of the day was Sophomore Kaitlyn Kincer shooting a 118 & a 124. Sophomore Braelyn Bates threw games of 103 & 132. And Freshman Allison Pritchard bowled just over 100 with a 101.

The girls were penalized in the Baker round because according to OHSAA rules, if a bowler is missing and you do not have 5 bowlers for Bakers, you must take a zero for both frames of the missing bowler. So the teams scores were lower than normal. They posted games of 60, 76, 82, and 91.

The Lady Middies record goes to 1-9 overall, and remains at 0-6 in the GMC. They will head to Northwest Lanes on Sunday for annual Cardinal Classic tournament. It is scheduled to start at 9:00am. Hope to see you there!
