The Middletown Boys JV Bowling team won their latest match yesterday at Madison Bowl when they took on Summit Country Day!

Both teams were short bowlers, which is why the scores are not as high as they usually are. The Middies only had 4 bowlers, and SCD had 3. This gave the slight advantage to our boys team, and the match was still official with those numbers.

Leading the boys was Freshman Donavon Woodward with his very good first game of 164, and then he followed it up with a 125! Freshman Dawson Hilleary also helped his team with scores of 127 & 103!

Both teams were penalized in the Baker round because according to OHSAA rules, if a bowler is missing and you do not have 5 bowlers for Bakers, you must take a zero for both frames of the missing bowler. So all scores were lower than normal.

The team was up by over 300 pins after the regular games, so they were in the driver's seat the rest of the match. Our boys were able to post games of 81, 116, 101 and 73.

With the win, the Middies' record increases to 4-4 overall! The team has a small break and will have an away match on Wednesday when they face Oak Hills at S&S Western Bowl. The match is scheduled 4:00pm. See ya there!
