The Middletown Boys Varsity Bowling team participated in the annual Colerain Classic tournament today at Northwest Lanes in Fairfield.

The format was 2 regular games, followed by 6 Baker games, across 6 lanes, all before lunch. Then they cut 16 teams down to the top 8 to go head-to-head bracket style, and the winner of the best 2 out of 3 Baker games gets to advance. The boys bowled well today, but the scores could have been much higher if spares were made more consistently.

Leading the team today was Junior Riley Pritchard, who had a great day after shooting 2 very nice games of 215 & 206, for a 210.5 average! Awesome job Riley! Senior Eddie Pritchard rolled 2 great games himself to post scores of 188 & 199! Way to go! Sophomore Harlynn Davis came out firing in game #1 to throw a 212 and then a 165! And Junior Ethan "Curly" Isaac bowled well over his average during his 2-game set of 172 & 193!

The boys have been struggling with their Baker games, and it usually comes down to spare shooting. Today, they were up and down with the scores they put together as a team, shooting 159, 204, 176, 214, 160, & 180. Unfortunately, the Middies were not able to make the cut and their tournament run came to an end.

The Middies will travel to S&S Western Bowl on Wednesday to take on GMC foe Oak Hills, with a scheduled start time of 4:00pm. Hope to see you there!

GO MIDDIES!
