The Middletown Girls Varsity Bowling team participated in the annual Colerain Classic tournament today at Northwest Lanes in Fairfield.
The format was 2 regular games, followed by 6 Baker games, across 6 lanes, all before lunch. Then they cut 16 teams down to the top 8 to go head-to-head bracket style, and the winner of the best 2 out of 3 Baker games gets to advance. Spares are key to any game, match, and tournament. The girls are still working on getting better with their spares.
High girl for the Lady Middies today Sophomore Kaitlyn Kincer when she threw a 124 and a 138! Senior Harley Bailey posted 2 games above the 100 mark with scores of 103 & 101! And Sophomore Braelyn Bates had the 3rd highest game on the team with a 122!
The Bakers didn't go so well either after shooting a 94, 100, 106, 68, 91, and 83. They unfortunately did not make the cut and the tournament came to an end for them.
The Lady Middies will take on Oak Hills on Wednesday for a GMC match-up at S&S Western Bowl. Start time is set for 4:00pm. Hope to see you there!
GO MIDDIES!
