The Middletown Girls Varsity Bowling team lost their battle again the Mason Comets on Wednesday in their home match at Eastern Lanes.
The girls bowled a great 2nd game of 645 in their regular set, but the first game of 499 hurt them a bit. However, they were only down by 75 pins going into the Baker round!
High scorer for the Lady Middies was Sophomore Kaitlyn Kincer, shooting a 127 & then a 157! Only 9 pins back from her teammate was Junior Emma Kruse with her games of 117 & 158! And Sophomore Braelyn Bates rolled a 106 and a 138 for her 2-game set!
Being only 75 pins behind your opponent with 4 Baker games to go does not mean that you are out of the match! The girls knew that they needed to pour it on to catch the Comets, so they tried their best by starting off with a nice 141, then put together a 104, 115, and a 127. Unfortunately, Mason was able to post all 4 of their games slightly above their average to take the win from the Middies.
The girls' record drops to 2-11 overall, and goes to 0-8 in the GMC. The Middies next match is on Thursday at home as they take on the Middletown Christian Eagles at 3:30pm. We would love to see you there!
GO MIDDIES!
